Ravens Roost #115 – Meeting Minutes – March 16, 2011

Scott Albright, Sergeant At Arms started us off with the Pledge of Alliance followed by a “Go Ravens”. 

We discussed our upcoming Golf Outing on Friday, May 20th at the Links at Gettysburg.  Chad Tracey from Serenity First Financial has agreed to help sponsor the golf outing.  He donated $600 and his business information has been included on the promotion materials and he will have a booth at the golf outing.  Fliers for the golf outing were distributed.  Please start signing up foursomes.  Folks can sign up and pay directly on the website (www.ravensroost115.com) or by sending their completed forms to Bonni Klein at The Links at Gettysburg – 350 Mason Dixon Road, Gettysburg, PA  17325 or via fax at 717-359-8020. This event has generated a lot of interest and we anticipate that it will sell out so get those registration forms in.  We are in need of sponsors, silent auction items and tee sponsors.  Please ask your vendors, dry cleaners, business contacts, etc. to donate an item.  We would like items to be at least $25 in value if possible.  If items fall below that amount, we can bundle them with other items so don’t turn anything down. Thanks to all who have helped to put this event together.  All proceeds from the event will benefit our two charities.  

The Annual Council Ocean City Convention will be held on June 2nd-June 5th.  Dawn spoke with Steve from Roost #50 and they have graciously agreed to let our Roost share in their group rates.  The rooms are available at Days Inn at 23rd Street and the Boardwalk.  The room rates are as follows:

Ocean Front Room Only has 2 double beds and sleeps 4 people
$99 weekday rate and $129 weekend rate
7 Rooms reserved for our Roost.  At this time, we can add more Ocean Front Rooms, if needed.

Poolside Efficiency has 2 double beds and a pull-out sofa can sleep up to 6 people
$99 weekday rate and $129 weekend rate
There are only 3 Efficiencies left.  First come, first served.

Several of our Roost 115 members plan to attend so when calling to make reservations at the Days Inn (800-926-1122) mention that you are with Ravens Roost #115 so that you will get the discounted rate.  Please plan to make your reservations sooner rather than later as room availability is limited. 

We had a short meeting so that members could celebrate an early St. Patrick’s day. 

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, April 28th at 6:30 so that we can follow the draft picks.
